You can search the logs in their entirety using the "Search All Logs" section of the navigation bar at left. If you first wish to narrow down your search to one of the six major programs, click the appropriate program link list in the navigation bar at left under "Browse/Search the Logs by Program."

Search Tips

• Choose your keywords carefully. Avoid common words like "and," "the" and "of." "AND" and "OR" have special uses that are described further in the Harvest Search engine help page.
• It may be tempting to type something like "show me the housing information," but a more efficient use of the search function would be "housing information."
• There are only seven search places to enter search keywords on this website, one for each of the six programs and one for the entire website. Therefore you can only narrow down your search to the program level before entering your keywords.

When viewing your search results:

• Note that any filename called "index.htm" is a navigation page, and does not contain questions-and-answer content. These files are necessary for the functioning of the search engine, and to allow for browsing the logs.
• If two entries look identical save for the filename, they probably are exactly the same. Dozens of the questions-and-answers in the logs appear in more than one location and are cross referenced.
• Every filename has the following syntax:
  "programabbreviation+subcategory_questionnumber.htm"
  Therefore, the file containing question #2 in the Confidentiality subcategory (101-1) of SSI Related Medicaid (MA) would be named "MA101-1_02.htm"

If you prefer to browse the logs rather than conducting a keyword search, you may use the program links listed in the navigation bar at left, under "Browse/Search the Logs by Program." Finding information in this manner is a completely acceptable way of accessing the site, though it may take longer than running a keyword search. If you are familiar with the logs, you may access the program categories and subcategories directly using the site map, below.
